The feeling comes first.

Amy Matthew is an Orlando-based ASCAP songwriter and lyricist whose work moves across pop, R&B, blues, jazz, country, gospel, rock, vocal-group music, and musical theatre.

For more than a decade, Amy has written for male and female performers, solo artists, groups, and story-driven projects. Her process begins with emotional truth: finding the title, point of view, and phrase that makes a listener feel understood.

She has collaborated with recording artists, producers, composers, and fellow songwriters, building a reputation for heartfelt lyrics, versatility, and an easy collaborative spirit. Her current work includes “Favorite Mistake,” the worldwide debut single by Beatzone Boys through Trans Continental Records, and “A Hero,” performed by Regina Karma and written with Karen “K-Mack The Songwriter” Ortiz.

Amy is also the founder of Reflected Lyrical Productions LLC, a separate creative production company developing music, books, youth entertainment, and original story worlds.
